Parts of Centurion were without electricity on Thursday afternoon due to a fault at the Brakfontein and the Kosmosdal substation, said DA Tshwane electricity spokesperson, councillor Ina Strydom.
“The team is currently on site and working on it. Some residents have informed me that their power is restored but other areas are still without electricity,” she said.
The outage, which started just after 15:00, affected Rooihuiskraal, parts of The Reeds, Blue Valley, Amberfield, Eldoraigne, Sunderland Ridge, Raslouw and Hennopspark Industrial.
Strydom could not confirm when power would be fully restored.
