Tshwane prepaid customers can buy electricity again
After a two-day glitch, Pretoria residents can buy prepaid electricity again.

A technical glitch that prevented City of Tshwane’s prepaid electricity customers from buying electricity the past two days had been resolved, the metro said.
It is still unknown what caused the problem, but media relations director for Tshwane metro, Lindela Mashigo, said a solution to the problem was found, and technicians were working to prevent a repeat.
“We became aware of the hiccup and our technicians have been working hard to establish what caused the malfunction to restore services to normal. The technicians are still frantically trying to ascertain the underlying cause of the problem which started after we experienced a power failure in Centurion,” Lindela Mashigo said.
The system had been restored since Thursday morning.
“The system has been up and running for the past three hours or so and will continue functioning while we search for the underlying cause of the problem.”
