Concert held in aid of Hennie Smit

Concert held in aid of the actor/singer and musician Hennie Smit for his return to the entertainment industry.

A concert was recently held at the Atterbury Theatre in aid of the actor/singer and musician Hennie Smit who has finally recovered after two months in Wilgers hospital.

The director of the play My Boetie Se Sussie Se Ou and other actors such as David Rees and Francois van Rensburg were there to welcome Smit back.

Actors Brumilda van Rensburg, Julie Strydom and various singers like Arina de Witt, Gert van Tonder, Sonja Herholdt, Andre Schwartz and Laurika Rauch were performing during the evening.

Hannes van Wyk and Rian van Heerden were the masters of ceremony. On the evening the doctor who had treated Smit was his guest of honour.

Smit thanked all of the singers and actors who made the event possible.
