Load shedding to continue
Eskom said load shedding will continue on Monday but might end during lunchtime.
Deliberate power cuts would continue on Monday morning but could end by lunchtime, Eskom said.
“We are currently load shedding at stage 1 from 08:00 and will move to stage 2 at 09:00. We anticipate load shedding to end by lunchtime but that cannot be confirmed yet,” an Eskom spokesperson said.
Residents have been urged to use power sparingly and to turn off all non-essential appliances, pool pumps, geysers and air-conditioners.
