Barloworld recently donated a minibus to Laerskool Menlopark in the east of Pretoria.
According to Werner Venter, sales manager of Barloworld Menlyn, Barloworld identified the school’s need for a vehicle of their own and since education is so important for the company, they decided to jump at the opportunity to make a difference.
“We donated a Toyota minibus that can seat 14 people to the school, with servicing and the graphics on the bus included,” said Venter.
According to the school’s principal, Pieter Bredenkamp, the bus will be used to transport children to and from sporting events.
“We are overwhelmed and have no words to describe how thankful we are for this gesture. How can you say thank you? It is heartwarming that Barloworld could assist us in this way,” Bredenkamp said.
According to Francois van Biljon, marketer of Laerskool Menlopark, the school would like to thank Andrew Wium, dealer manager of Barloworld who negotiated the deal with the help of Van Biljon.
“With such help, Barloworld expressed their support of the community,” Van Biljon said.
