Taxi boss killed in hail of bullets
Taxi Boss was shot and killed at the Bloed Mall Taxi Rank in the city centre on Friday.
A taxi owner was gunned down in what is believed to be an assassination attack at Bloed Mall Taxi Rank in the city centre on Friday afternoon.
The reason for the murder is still unknown.
An eyewitness who preferred to remain anonymous said the taxi boss was shot by one of two men who were waiting for him in the area.
“One of the men opened fire on the taxi boss before the two ran away,” the eyewitness said.
The taxi boss was shot several times in the upper body and was declared dead on the scene.
His body remained motionless on the seat of the taxi he was driving.
According to the eyewitness the taxi boss was the chairman of one of the taxi associations.
Police were not available for comment at the time of the incident.
