
Police are looking for two armed robbers who stole R26 000 worth in jewellery from a home in Rooihuiskraal on Friday morning.
According to police spokesperson Sergeant Anne Poortman the two men gained entry to the home at 11:15 on Friday. The armed robbers fled the scene in a silver Audi 4A. One was wearing a red top and the other a grey top.
Poortman said no shots were fired and there were no reported injuries. No arrests have been made but the investigation is ongoing.
In a separate incident MonitorNet nabbed an alleged drug addict who stole goods from a convenience store at an Engen filling station in Hennops Park.
A young man armed with a shotgun and wearing a balaclava single-handily robbed the Shell filling station in Clubview on 23 January.
The robber, believed to be in his late twenties, was seen on closed circuit television entering the convenience store around 20:40. He then ordered the cashier to stop what he was doing and get out of the way. The robber fled the scene with R2 000 in a blue vehicle believed to be a Ford Fiesta.
