Cash Converters in Centurion robbed
Six men robbed the Cash Converters at Mall @ Reds on Sunday morning.
Six men, of whom at least two were armed, robbed Cash Converters at Mall @ Reds in Centurion on Sunday morning.
Orange Fox Security Solutions spokesperson, André Hills, said robbers waited outside the shop and struck when a woman unlocked the doors just after 08:00.
“Two men pulled out 9mm pistols and followed her into the store,” Hills said.
“A firearm was pointed at another worker as he entered the store shortly after and he was forced to open the safe.”
Hills said an undisclosed amount of money, gold and two laptops were stolen.
Orange Fox arrived at the scene within minutes after the panic button was pressed, but the robbers had already fled the scene in a black BMW and white Corsa bakkie.
A case of armed robbery was opened at the Wierdabrug police station.
