Gospel concert to raise awareness
Organisations came together and hosted a successful gospel concert to raise money.
Soli deo Gloria Outreach Ministries and 12 Step Freedom came together on Saturday to raise money for both these organisations.
A gospel concert was held at the NG Church Silvertonkruin on Saturday evening where residents came together to enjoy music from artists that performed at the occasion.
Soli deo Gloria Outreach Ministeries is a nonprofit organisation that raises awareness on abortion to fight against people committing abortion.
“Both organisations are raising money for these organisations since we are working hand in hand to fight against abortion and drugs,” Luke Nel from Soli deo Gloria said.
12 Step Freedom is a Christ centered recovery programme that renders support services to substance dependant people and their families.
“Generally people think those using drugs are from the gutters, but there are people in high society who are also involved in drugs. Many addicts do not have the money to rehabilitate themselves and families are reluctant to help them,” Marietjie Smit from 12 Step Freedom said.
These two organisations do not belong to any specific church or denomination and anyone who needs assistance or would like to work with them is welcome to join. The money raised will go towards both these organisations to help with the rehabilitation and awareness of drugs and abortion.
