Dogs mysteriously killed in Silverton

A family is concerned after their dogs were mysteriously killed in their yard.

A Silverton family is living in fear after their two dogs were mysteriously killed in their yard on Friday.

Welma Kock, owner of four dogs in Mossie Street, said she went to work on Friday, leaving her two Doberman pinscher’s outside while two other dogs were locked inside the house.

“When I came home at around 16:30, I discovered the dogs were nowhere to be found. I thought they might have disappeared and that someone had called the SPCA to collect them,” she told Rekord.

Kock said she and her husband found one of Doberman’s on Saturday in the garden shed at the back of the house. “I went inside and I saw her laying there, dead.”

She said after phoning the SPCA to assess the dog, it was discovered the dog had been beaten.

“She had a flat face and her stomach was blue.” Kock said the second dog was found later that afternoon in the front yard under a bush with a broken back.

Kock said the dog also died later.

“We are afraid for our lives because we don’t know who did this and what their motive is. We think someone is planning to break into our home.”

Killer, who was born in 2009, was found dead with a flat face and a blue stomach in the garden shed.
