One dies in head-on collision

A motorcyclist, believed to be in his 30s, died on Tuesday following a serious head-on collision with a light motor vehicle.

A motorcyclist died just after midnight on Tuesday following a head-on collision in Steve Biko Road en route to Lavender Road.

Andy Gill, spokesperson for Advanced Paramedic Assist (APA), said paramedics found the male motorcyclist, believed to be in his 30s, dead on arrival.

He said the two females driving in the light motor vehicle escaped the head-on collision without any injuries.

Gill could not confirm what had caused the accident.
