Burglar caught red-handed
The Monitor Net reaction team caught a burglar red-handed when he tried to break into a house on Wednesday morning.
A man was caught red-handed on Wednesday when he tried to break into a house in Heuweloord, Monitor Net said.
Operations Manager Theo Petzer said this happened in Sparden Avenue around 08:25.
“We received a call through Zello from a lady in the house who said someone was trying to break into her house. We responded and caught the suspect red-handed,” Petzer said.
He said the intruder had already managed to force open the glass door to the house.
Petzer said the man was found in possession of house-breaking equipment and money.
“We handed him over to the Wierdabrug police station.”
