Two men have been arrested after a 25-year-old man was stabbed to death in Marabastad on Wednesday.
Police spokesperson Captain Augustinah Selepe said the man was stabbed in the chest.
“It is still unknown what the motive was and what object was used,” she said.
Investigations led to the arrest of two men, aged 23 and 25.
“It is alleged that the deceased and the suspects used to spend a lot of time together as they were all identified as Nyaope smokers.”
Selepe said the family had not been notified yet.
“It is difficult to locate families in these cases because these people stay in the streets of Pretoria by themselves or with the friends they have made.”
The two men would appear at the Pretoria Magistrate’s Court on Thursday.
