Two small children, aged 2 and 6, were killed on Friday night after they were allegedly shot by their mother in Walmansthal near Hammanskraal.
Advanced Paramedic Assist said they arrived to find the children dead.
“We were at the scene and did declarations of death,” said spokesperson Andy Gill.
He said police are investigating the matter further.
Police spokesperson Lieutenant Sarah Lesabane said a 32-year-old woman was arrested and held at the Temba police station.
“She faces two counts of murder and will appear at the Moretele magistrates court on Monday. Police are still investigating.”
