Over a thousand at Cosmo Fun Walk
Residents around Pretoria participated in the Cosmo fun run and walk.
Over a thousand athletes young and old from around Pretoria participated in the 5km and 10km 2015 Cosmo Fun Run/Walk on Saturday.
The annual Cosmo Fun Run/Walk was organised by Cosmo Industrial Silverton.
The event was held at the Pretoria National Botanical Gardens that started at 08:00.
The 5km started and finished inside the gardens and the 10km started inside the gardens towards the Cosmo premises and back to the gardens.
Pierre van Nieuwenhuizen, director of Cosmo Industrial said: “This is the second annual big event they are hosting and it is part of giving back to the community.”
“Our aim is to develop a collective vision for the future, build partnerships with the private sector, civil society and the government, with the goal to create a sustainable future,” said Nieuwenhuizen.
“At the gardens participants were entertained with the team building entertainer, Maljan of Jacaranda FM and Clamber for the children. Our suppliers exhibited products available at Cosmo and gave out gift brochures with special offers and their latest releases and specials.”
The event ended with a lucky draw whereby participants stood a chance of winning a R17 000 generator.
