A Tshwane metro police student was shot dead in a robbery in Soshanguve at the weekend.
Tebogo Kunene (24) was off duty when this happened in Block H in the early hours of Saturday, said metro police spokesperson Senior Superintendent Isaac Mahamba.
“No arrests have been made and the matter has been reported to the South African Police Service,” he said in a statement.
Kunene, a 24-year-old Soshanguve resident, was attending the Mamelodi training college after he joined the metro police academy in December 2013, Mahamba said.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday at 10 at the Saulsville Arena in Mamogale Street.
