Two sisters were robbed at gunpoint in Soshanguve this week.
Spokesperson Warrant Officer Lolo Mangena said seven men accosted them as they were walking to the station on Tuesday.
“The complainant and her sister were on their way to walk towards the Mabopane station when they were suddenly approached by a white Honda Ballade,” he said.
“Seven men jumped out of the vehicle. Two of them carried firearms and the sisters were ordered by them to lie on the ground. While down, the suspects searched them and left with their handbags and cellphones,” he said.
Mangena said the total value of the stolen items amounted to R1 500.
