Women released after abduction
Police are still investigating the alleged kidnapping of a four-year-old boy who was found unharmed on Sunday.
The police have released two women questioned about the abduction of a four-year-old boy in Ga-Rankuwa, police said on Thursday.
Spokesperson Captain Rheineth Motlana said the two women were only brought in for questioning.They were not arrested as initially reported.
Police were still investigating the abduction and no one had been arrested.
On Sunday, a four-year-old boy was found unharmed in a house after he appeared to have been abducted in Ga-Rankuwa two days before.
Police initially said two people were arrested at the scene after they were alleged to have abducted the four-year-old.
The boy was reported missing last Friday and was nowhere to be found on Saturday. A resident saw the boy in her neighbour’s house on Sunday.
