Traditional healers could not explain the whereabouts of King Hlongwane who went missing.
Churches, prophets and traditional healers told the family of Hlongwane in Mamelodi East, Extension 11 that their son King Hlongwane (24) had been kidnapped and was held hostage by a man and woman.
Their son went missing on May 8. King had last been seen with a friend but never returned home and no one has heard from him.
The family has searched everywhere for their beloved son. King’s mother, Christina Hlongwane (45), said: “I last saw my son leaving with a friend. They said they were going to a nearby pub, but I never saw him again.”
The family has searched everywhere and even went to the man he had last been seen with. The friend was only able to hand over King’s cap to the family and said he had left King at the pub.
The family of Hlongwane said they can’t sleep at night or eat without knowing the whereabouts of their son. “It hurts me a lot because I don’t know where my son is or what has happened to him. We even went back to the man’s house whom he was last seen with, but King was nowhere to be found,” said King’s mother.
The search took the Hlongwane to hospitals, prisons and mortuaries but they could find no sign of him. King is described as a loving person who never bothered anyone. He also likes watching movies on his computer.
Mamelodi East police spokesperson Warrant Officer Michael Mbewe confirmed a case of a missing person was opened and the police are still investigating.
