BREAKING NEWS: Decomposed body found in Pretoria

Lt-Col Kevin Solomons said the police found remains at a bridge near the Christian Brothers College in Stanza Bopape Street.

A pile of human bones were found in Silverton on Thursday afternoon, according to police.

Police spokesperson Lt-Col Kevin Solomons said the remains were discovered on Thursday afternoon at a bridge near the Christian Brothers College in Pretoria Street.

“It looks like the body has been there for more than three months. We don’t have any information on what happened to this person and will await the outcome of the post mortem,” he said.

“At this stage, we would like to see if we could track down the family because we have trousers that he/she could be identified with.”

Solomons said the bridge next to Stanza Bopape Street was a hotspot for smash-and-grab crimes.

“Criminals rob people there at night and run towards the N4.”.
