NATIONAL NEWS: Python dies after eating giant porcupine

An African rock python died in unusual circumstances after swallowing a giant 13.8 kilogram porcupine at a private game park in South Africa, the manager said Friday.

An African rock python recently died while trying to regurgitate a porcupine it had eaten in Lake Eland Game Reserve, in Port Shepstone.

Jennifer Fuller, from Lake Eland Game Reserve, said the 3.9 meter snake supposedly got distressed by visitor watching it and tried to regurgitate the porcupine.

However, when the quills got stuck during the process, killing the python.
