Police hunt garage bombers
Five men wanted after robbing a Total garage on Sunday evening in Rosslyn.

Police were on Wednesday still searching for five men who robbed the Total garage in Rosslyn at the weekend.
Spokesperson Captain Riana van Aarde said the five men stormed into the garage on Sunday, bombed a safe and left with an undisclosed amount of cash.
Rosslyn Total Garage owner Danie Joubert said the robbery happened at 20:00.
“Five men came into the garage and told everyone to get on the floor; three of the five men were armed with machine guns. One guy had a tool and explosives which he used to open up the safe,” he said.
Joubert said the robbers spent less than four minutes in the garage before leaving with R30 000 in cash.
“The money from the safe was stolen together with the cigarettes and biltong. Luckily no one was injured during the robbery because everyone cooperated with the men,” he said.
Manager of the garage George Kekana said the robbers used the back entrance to gain entry.
“Petrol attendants were outside as it was a busy Sunday evening, although I was not there that night, one of the employees said they were not aware of what was going on.”
Van Aarde said a business robbery docket was opened at Akasia police station.
