A man was injured when his bakkie overturned on the N4 between Dr Swanepoel Street and the Rosslyn off-ramp on Thursday.
Netcare 911 spokesperson Chris Botha said the man was airlifted to hospital.
“Paramedics arrived at the scene and found that a bakkie had rolled several times down the highway.The driver was ejected from the vehicle and was found in a critical condition,” he said.
Botha said after paramedics stabilised the man at the scene and he was taken with a Netcare helicopter to a specialised hospital for the care he required.
“The cause of the accident remains unclear at this stage,” Botha said.
