Centurion Spar robbed
Six men are at large after they robbed a supermarket in Centurion on Sunday.
Six armed men fled with an undisclosed amount of money after they robbed the Clubview Spar in Centurion on Sunday night.
Wierdabrug police spokesperson Captain Agnes Huma said the men entered the shop around 19:50 and held the manager at gunpoint.
“They ordered him to open the safe and took an undisclosed amount of money,” she said.
Centurion Concerned Citizens spokesperson Hannes Du Buisson said a shot was fired but no one was injured.
“The men also emptied the cash register and robbed a CPF member of his battle jacket which had his cellphone and radio,” he said.
The battle jacket was recovered from under a fridge in the store, he said.
The men fled in a BMW in the direction of Atteridgeville.
“They were last seen in Alaric Street,” he said.
A business robbery docket was opened Huma urged anyone with information to call the Wierdabrug police on 012-685-0015.
