Abacus maths is a programme that teaches children to "see" maths.

Abacus Maths recently hosted their fifth national competition and pupils from across Centurion put their maths knowledge to the test.

Mmabodiaba Kganyago (grade 4) from Cornwall Hill College received a gold medal in her category and was also selected for the international team for 2016. Themba Kganyago (grade 6) from Pretoria Preparatory School received a gold medal and was also chosen to participate in the international competition in Singapore on 2 October 2016.

Ruhan Oliphant (grade 3) form Laerskool Wierdapark was awarded a gold medal in his category. Kayla (5 years old) and Joshua Stofberg (grade 1) from respectively Midstream Pre-Primary and Midstream Primary received the champions trophy and bronze medals.
