A Temba husband is said to have killed his wife on Tuesday night, police said.

Spokesperson Constable Herman Moremi said the 32-year-old victim was found murdered in her house in Carousel View in the north of Pretoria.

“Her 42-year-old husband apparently called a ward committee member and told her that he had killed his wife.”

Moremi said the woman was found dead inside a room with tape around her neck.

“It looked like she was strangled to death. It is believed that the suspect fled the scene after the killing,” he said.

Moremi said a murder docket was opened.
