Bolhuis investigating Bozwana murder

Pretoria investigator appointed to investigate North West businessman's murder.

Pretoria private investigator Mike Bolhuis says he is investigating the murder of North West businessman Wandile Bozwana.

Benedict Bozwana, brother of the slain Wanile Bozwana, has however denied hiring Bolhuis to investigate his brother’s murder.

“We are happy with the work the police is doing. We don’t want anybody else involved with the investigation,” said Bozwana.

“Nobody in the family hired him as far as I am aware.”

Bolhuis however says he was hired by friends, family members and acquaintances who want to stay anonymous.

“My organisation of Specialist Investigators into serious violent and serious economic crimes has been appointed to do an in-depth investigation of Mr Bozwana’s murder,” said Bolhuis.

“We will provide protection to those who have appointed us and will also assist the police in their investigations.”

Bolhuis has called on anyone with proof of those who are responsible for Bozwana’s murder to phone him on 082-447-6116 and report what they know.

Two men were recently arrested in connection with Bozwana’s murder.

Their case has been postponed to 9 December in the Pretoria Magistrate’s Court.

Bozwana was killed in a hail of bullets in October when armed robbers ambushed him and a colleague on the Garsfontein off-ramp, east of Pretoria.

Bozwana, company director for Orgazma Energy Drinks, was driving with Orgazma events coordinator Mpho Baloyi when armed men opened fire on their yellow Renault Clio RS.

Bozwana was hit nine times and succumbed to his wounds in hospital that evening.

Baloyi was hit twice but survived the attack.
