Three people were arrested after a failed bank robbery in Soshanguve on Tuesday.

Three men were arrested after police foiled a bank robbery at Soshanguve Plaza on Tuesday afternoon.

This after police received a tip-off of a possible robbery at an ABSA bank.

The suspects were using three vehicles, an Audi, a Volkswagen Golf GTI and a Volkswagen Polo, said police spokesperson Captain Tsekiso Mofokeng.

When police arrived suspects in two of the cars fled the scene while suspects in the third car remained, Mofokeng added.

“Three suspects were arrested. Police found a signal jammer inside the vehicle” Mofokeng confirmed.

Police were still at the scene.
