Motorcycle shop robbed

Six raid a shop and steal four motorbikes in the early hours of Monday morning.

Six men robbed a motorcycle shop in Valhalla, Centurion, in the early hours of Monday morning.

Centurion Concerned Citizens spokesperson Hannes Du Buisson said three cars arrived at the shop on the corner of Broadway and Shirley streets just after midnight.

“They were a white Nissan Hardbody, a Toyota Quantum panelvan and a new white Mercedes-Benz,” said Du Buisson.

Burglars broke down the front door and took four motorcycles.

Du Buisson said the 24-hour guard apparently tried to call the police with no success.

The robbers left a motorcycle at the door.

Wierdabrug police spokesperson Captain Agnes Huma said no charges had been laid in connection with the robbery.

“This could be because the complainant has not reported it to police at the current moment,” said Huma.

Du Buisson asked anyone with any information on the robbery to call Centurion Concerned Citizens by SMS on 32211.

“If you got any information or spot these vehicles, please inbox us or call it into your local concerned citizens Zello channel.”
