Warrant of arrest issued for Oscar
The NPA issued a warrant of arrest for Oscar Pistorius.
A warrant of arrest has been issued for Paralympian Oscar Pistorius who was found guilty of murder on Thursday.
A statement issued by the National Prosecuting Authority said the warrant was issued to bring Pristorius before court with all urgency for a sentencing date.
Judge Thokozile Masipa’s earlier judgement of culpable homicide was overturned to that of murder in the Supreme Court of Appeal.
The SCA dismissed the defence argument that Pistorius was acting in self-defence when he shot dead his model girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp in his Pretoria home in February 2013.
The former Paralympian sprinter was released in October after serving less than a year of his five-year sentence imposed earlier.
