It was chaos at the Grove Mall in the east of Pretoria as an emergency evacuation was ordered.
“Everyone is standing around outside and some of the waiters working in the mall told us it is another bomb threat,” said a shopper, Annele Botha on the scene.
This was the second time the mall had to be evacuated following a bomb threat this year.
Pierre Botha, Portfolio Manager at the mall, confirmed a bomb threat was received and all shoppers were evacuated.
Police and the bomb squad were notified and searched the premises while shoppers grouped outside.
“The safety of our shoppers is a priority and we thank all shoppers for their quick assistance,” Botha said.
