Crawford College celebrated its 20th anniversary in epic fashion when 1 200 pupils came together to form a colossal number 20 in the middle of the field on Thursday.
Former teachers and principals joined current Crawford staff in the electrifying two decade milestone celebration.
A stage was set and MC Manna Storom welcomed all to the memorable occasion.
College principal André Botha and primary school principal Ian McLeod reminisced about Crawford’s humble beginnings.
A performance from grade 0 pupils entertained the crowd, joined by different age groups to perform different acts, showcasing their individual talents.
A talented saxophonist and pupil Emma Efstratiou was the pick of the performers.
Pupils sang Happy Birthday to Crawford in four different languages.
Former principal Dr Syd Gosher said although the phrase “education is the key to success” seemed overly used, it captured what every pupil should strive for, ultimately success.
“Years ago when we began Crawford we had a vision, and I hope that vision continues to grow taller and broader,” said Gosher.
