Ga-Rankuwa police cluster made hundreds of arrests over the weekend, during its crime prevention operations.
A total of 201 people were arrested in Ga-Rankuwa and surrounding areas for various crimes, Warrant Officer Matthews Nkoadi said.
“Crimes of which suspects were arrested for are malicious damage to property, common assault, and business robbery, possession of dagga, illegal immigrants, armed robbery and murder among others,” Nkoadi said.
He said the new commander of the Cluster, General Hilda Mohajane was personally involved in Friday’s operation.
“She thanked members for their hard work and dedication displayed in all operations.”
“All suspects will appear in the Soshanguve, Pretoria North and Ga-Rankuwa Magistrates’ Courts soon. All illegal immigrants will be deported.
