Teachers showcase their skills on stage
Pro Arte Alphen Park teachers trilled about 160 Pretoria residents with a breath-taking concert.
Pro Arte Alphen Park held their high-class annual teachers’ concert at the school in the east of Pretoria on Wednesday.
“The event exposes learners and parents to the talent of the teachers…this is important for learners to know that they are being taught by masters,” Pro Arte Alphen spokesperson René Abrahams said.
Teachers displayed their talents in drama, music and dance at the event attended by about 160 people. Parents formed most part of the audience.
Abrahams said the Pro Arte Alphen Park teachers had started the concert more than a decade ago with the aim of raising money to help a teacher who had been in need at the time. It then became an annual concert.
She said the number of people attending the event had increased by around 100 percent compared to last year.
The school is planning to host the event at various schools in the future.
