Police warn of thieving trio
Police are looking for three woman linked to the theft of handbags and jewellery.

Police are looking for three women following two similar robberies that were reported at shopping malls east of Pretoria.
Police spokesperson Colette Weilbach said two robberies were recently reported and a group of women was identified as the culprits.
“The perpetrators, who work in groups, distract female shoppers by starting a conversation with them. One of the perpetrators then forces the shopper to hand over her handbag and/or jewellery.”
She said the women robbers disappeared before the shopper could alert security officers.
Weilbach said police were investigating two similar episodes in the past two weeks where victims were targeted just before 16:00 at two shopping centres.
“Police urge people not to trust strangers blindly and to be aware of their surroundings. Valuables such as handbags, purses and cellphones must always remain under the shopper’s direct control.”
She said mothers were also targeted because children could easily be distracted.
