Hatfield drug dealer nabbed

The drug dealer was arrested in a police operation.

A man was arrested for possession and dealing in drugs in Hatfield on Friday night.

Brooklyn CPF chairperson Paul Fouchee said the police were on an undercover operation when they spotted the man.

“The man was spotted selling drugs. On his second deal the police arrested him.”

The man was found in possession of heroin, tik and dagga.

“The drug dealer hid away his stash in small holes he dug in the ground then put nutshells over to carefully conceal them,” said Fouchee.

Fouchee said it was important for drug dealers to be arrested, especially in this area.

“Young people go to Hatfield to visit the nightclubs. This is how drug-use is spread in the youth.”

Fouchee thanked the police and urged community members to join their local community policing forums.

“If the community becomes a part of the CPF, they can assist the police in making neighbourhoods safer,” he said.
