SA delivers on day three in Rio

: Chad le Clos on course to add another gold for South Africa.

South African Chad le Clos won his 200m butterfly heat on Monday.

The 24-year-old won in a time of 1:55.57, booking a spot in the 200m freestyle final at 03:20 on Tuesday.

In rowing, South Africans James Thompson and John Smith won their lightweight men’s double sculls heat, progressing to the semi-finals.

In the women’s rowing Lee-Ann Persse and Kate Christowitz finished second, qualifying for the semis.
