Anti-crime operation yields 336 arrests
The operation started on Thursday and continued until Monday morning.

The Tshwane north cluster police arrested 336 at the weekend in a crime prevention operation.
Spokesperson Captain Mathews Nkoadi said: “The operation comprised roadblocks on all major roads, stop and searches as well as raids.”
He said the operation had napped people wanted for attempted murder, rape, pointing of a firearm, armed robbery, possession of drugs, house robbery and for road traffic violations.
He said the operation started on Thursday and continued until Monday morning, and was carried out in Ga-Rankuwa, Soshanguve, Mabopane, Winterveldt and Hammanskraal.
The people arrested will appear either in the Ga-Rankuwa, Soshanguve or Pretoria North Magistrate’s courts soon.
He said the police management had called upon residents to report misconduct and/or any criminal activity by the police to the provincial duty brigadier on 082-313-8299 or provincial duty general on 082-444-4354.
