NEWSFLASH: Charges against Henning withdrawn

The state has withdrawn all charges against Nico Henning in the Pretoria High Court on Monday.
Henning has been charged with conspiracy to commit murder after the November 2011 shooting of his wife, Chanelle Henning, outside their daughter’s creche in Faerie Glen.
At the time, the couple had initiated divorce proceedings and were fighting over custody of their son.
It is alleged he hired hit-men Andre Gouws and former Nigerian athlete Ambrose Monye to kill his 26-year-old wife.
Gouws and Monye have both been sentenced to life in prison for the murder.
Two other men, Gerhardus “Doepie” du Plessis and Willem “Pike” Pieterse, are serving 18-year prison terms after confessing to their roles in the killing.
