BREAKING NEWS: Burglars caught “red handed” – police
"The task team noticed the front gate of the complex was broken open.”

Four men were caught red handed while burgling a house in Centurion on Tuesday.
Lyttelton spokesperson Captain Dave Miller said the men broke into a house inside a complex in Kimble Street, Highveld Centurion around 13:00.
“Residents spotted the four and reported the matter on their network radio.”
He said a Lyttelton police task team and ADT responded to the burglary in progress.
“Upon arrival, the task team noticed the front gate of the complex had been broken open.”
Miller said the officers proceeded and stopped a man attempting to drive out of the complex who was later identified as an accomplice to the other three burglars.
Miller said the task team found the other three men still at the house, loading flat screens and other appliances into a cars.
“The men were arrested.”
He said one of the cars belonged to one of the burglars and the other was a rental.
“Fortunately there was no one in the house when the men broke in.”
Miller said house breaking implements, flat screen TVs and other appliances were found in the men’s possession.
“One of the men had a fake gun.”
Miller said the men were arrested on counts of possession of stolen property, possession of house breaking implements, and house breaking.
“The men would appear in the Pretoria Magistrate’s Court within 48 hours,” Miller said.
“Police would still check to see if the men had other pending offenses.”
He said police applauded residents for their quick response in notifying police.
“We urge all members of the public to be in contact with their neighbours, CPFs and security companies as this often resulted in the successful apprehension of criminals.”
