A man was arrested for possession of nyaope at the weekend.
Tshwane metro police spokesperson Senior Superintendent Isaac Mahamba said police caught the man on the corner of Boom and Jerusalem streets, Marabastad after they received a tip-off from a resident.
“We arrested the 31-year-old man after we received information from the community. He was found with 35 bags of nyaope. We applaud our drug unit for their role in making the arrest.”
The man is expected to appear in the Pretoria Magistrate’s Court soon.
