A store inside the Menlyn Maine shopping centre was robbed on Saturday.
Police confirmed the robbery but refused to comment when asked if it was a jewellery store.
“A statement would be issued at a later stage,” said police.
Rekord had received information that two men dressed as contractors were involved in the robbery.
The source said the perpetrators fled in the direction of the highway travelling in a white Golf and a silver BMW.
It was unclear at time of publishing if the men were armed.
