Reports of dead woman unconfirmed
A bleeding man was running around, shouting that a woman was lying dead in the veld.
Reports of a body lying in an open veld in the east of Pretoria could not be confirmed by police on Tuesday.
“Our team went to the scene and found nothing after we heard reports earlier about a body that was seen in Meerlust road, Equestria,“ Captain Ilze Jones said.
“We can’t dismiss claims that a body was seen, but our members are keeping a close eye around the area.”
Earlier on social media, reports emerged that a bleeding man was seen running in Meerlust Road, shouting that a woman was lying dead in the veld.
No confirmation for this could be found by police in the area, said Jones.
