The police confirmed that 281 people were arrested for various crimes as the Tshwane North Cluster continued with the crime prevention operation that started last Thursday and ended on Sunday night.
“The suspects were arrested for, among the other things, murder, attempted murder, rape, drunk driving, possession of suspected stolen motor vehicles, public drinking and road traffic offences, public violence and shoplifting,” said Nkoadi.
All those arrested will appear in the Ga-Rankuwa, Soshanguve and Pretoria North Magistrate’s Courts soon.
