An elderly couple was injured during a burglary at their home in Monument Park on Thursday.
Netcare 911 spokesperson Athlenda Mathe said the couple sustained moderate injuries after burglars broke into their house in Makou Street around 12:00.
Mathe said Netcare 911 paramedics were called to the scene by a security company in the area.
“Upon arrival, paramedics stabilised both the man and woman before transporting them to a nearby hospital for further medical care.”
Police could not be reached for comment at the time of going to print.
