Motorcycle thieves target the north
“They are suspected of numerous motorcycle thefts and breaking into businesses as well as houses.”
A syndicate stealing motorcycles is doing the rounds in Pretoria North, the SAPS has warned.
The warning comes after two motorcycles were stolen around 01:00 after thieves broke a motorised gate lock in Flaurana recently.
“They [syndicate] are suspected of numerous motorcycle thefts and breaking into businesses as well as houses,” warned the police in a Facebook post.

The SAPS urged anyone with information to contact Crime Stop on 08600-10111.
Keep your motorcycle safe from theft with these tips:
- Store your motorcycle where it is not plainly visible
- Put a steering lock on your motorcycle
- Invest in top quality locks and safety gears
- Keep a record of your motorcycle’s important information and key number
- Make sure your motorcycle is stored in a well-lit area
- Avoid parking where there is no security.
