Woman faints as march ends
"Police are bloodthirsty for us (Eff members)." says Julius Malema.
An EFF supporter fainted at the Union Buildings in Pretoria on Wednesday as her party’s march was nearing its end.
Paramedics swiftly attended to her. An eyewitness said it was not immediately clear why the woman collapsed.
EFF leader Julius Malema urged supporters to be disciplined as they returned to Church Square where their march against President Jacob Zuma began earlier in the day.
He said they should refrain damaging property as “police were blood thirsty for us”.
Malema thanked members for what he described as the peaceful way they protested.
Earlier reports suggested that EFF members had been involved in looting shops in the city centre.
Malema said the EFF would study the Public Protector’s 360-page report on state capture later.
