NATIONAL NEWS: 20 pupils rushed to hospital for poisoning

A group of school children all accepted candy from a strange man which resulted in severe abdominal pain and vomiting.

A group of around 20 school children were rushed to South Rand and Baragwanath Hospitals for urgent care after suffering severe abdominal pain, nausea and vomiting in class.

The teacher called for immediate help on Wednesday morning after noticing the children were ill.

The children later confirmed that they had received candy from a strange man.
