Sport Highlights 25 – 27 November

Many sports enthusiasts will probably be grateful that the Proteas are in action this weekend since the Springboks cannot get anyone excited any more.

Cricket

There is plentiful cricket action for lovers of this sport this weekend. Firstly, the third and final test between the Proteas and Australia started on Thursday in Adelaide. Real hardcore supporters will have to get up at 03:30 if they want to watch the live broadcast.

The Titans will again be in action twice this weekend. On Friday night they take on the Cape Cobras at SuperSport Park in Centurion at 18:00. On Sunday Albie Morkel and his men travel to Kimberley for the game against the Knights at 14:30 at the Diamond Oval.

Rugby

If you are really bored and really have nothing else to do on Saturday afternoon you could try to watch the Springboks against Wales in Cardiff. The action starts at 19:30.

Athletics

The Military Sports Club’ annual Muller Potgieter road race will take place this weekend. The event consist of a half marathon (21.1km), a 10km road race and a 5km fun run and will take place at the Military Sports Grounds in Thaba Tshwane. Soccer

Mamelodi Sundowns, who are behind schedule because of their participation in the African championships, play one of their catch-up games against Highlands Park at Loftus Versfeld at 15:00 on Sunday.

On Tuesday, SuperSport United take on Wits at Lucas Moripe Stadium in Atteridgeville at 19:30.

Mamelodi Sundowns will be in action again against Ajax Cape Town on Wednesday at the Cape Town Stadium at 19:30.
