Police arrested two people on Friday after equipment was stolen from an ambulance at an accident scene in Centurion.
Friday morning Emer-G-Med paramedics had attended to an accident victim on the N1 North, near the Old Johannesburg Road off-ramp.
The bakkie driver had seriously been injured after a vehicle collided into his bakkie that he had to be airlifted to hospital.

Later, Emer-G-Med said in a statement: “One of our advanced ECG monitors (valued at approximately R150 000) was stolen from our closed ambulance, allegedly by two personnel from another ambulance service.”
The theft was immediately reported.
Police investigations led to the arrest of the two and the stolen equipment was found in their possession.
“We as Emer-G-Med find this behaviour unacceptable and will aspire to annihilate this type of behaviour from the emergency medical services as a profession,” stated Emer-G-Med.
